The second European Geothermal PhD day will take place 1-2 March, 2011, in Reykjavik, Iceland. Organized by Icelandic students, the aim of the event is to provide a platform for students to broaden their geothermal horizon and establish a firm network of future geothermal specialists.

The second European Geothermal PhD day will take place 1-2 March, 2011, in Reykjavik, Iceland. Organized by Icelandic students, the aim of the event is to provide a platform for students to broaden their geothermal horizon and establish a firm network of future geothermal specialists.

The first European Geothermal PhD day took place, by the initiative of students in geothermal research in Potsdam, Germany in 2010.

The program consists of short presentations and poster sessions where students present their work as well as hear lectures from key speakers. The scientific committee is comprised of leading experts in geothermal research and the president of Iceland, Mr. Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, will attend the conference.

Registration is open for all geothermal graduate students and the deadline is the 15th of February.

This interesting event is your chance to meet other graduation students doing research in geothermal. All students will present their work both in lectures and poster sessions and get the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge about geothermal issues in Iceland and around the world. The scientific committee is comprised of leading experts in geothermal and the key speakers will be announced soon.
