Australian Geothermal Energy Assocation (AGEA) sets up a branch in Victoria with the aim of facilitating and expanding exploration of the state’s geothermal resources.

According to local news, “the branch was launched by the Victorian Minister for Energy and Resources Peter Batchelor, who said that the Victorian chapter of Australian Geothermal Energy Association (AGEA) will represent geothermal companies and help the industry grow, as well has help the community understand more about the industry.

“In Victoria, there appears to be significant potential to produce geothermal energy from naturally occurring hot water reservoirs deep beneath the earth’s surface,” Mr Batchelor said.

The new branch will be convened by AGEA executive committee member, Mark Miller.

Mr Miller is also Managing Director of Greenearth Energy.”
