Bureau of Land Management will offer 111 geothermal parcels for 328,500 acres during a statewide geothermal lease sale on Tuesday, May 11, in the BLM Nevada State Office.

In a release, the US Bureau of Land Management states it “will offer 111 geothermal parcels for 328,500 acres during a statewide geothermal lease sale on Tuesday, May 11, in the BLM Nevada State Office at 1340 Financial Boulevard in Reno. The sale room will open at 8 a.m. for registration and assignment of bidder numbers, and the competitive sale will begin at 10 a.m. Most of the parcels being offered at the May 11 sale are located in Churchill, Storey, Mineral and Esmeralda counties.

Geothermal revenues are distributed with 50 percent to the state, 40 percent to the Reclamation Fund and 10 percent to the U.S. Treasury. Additional sale information is posted on-line at: www.blm.gov/nv.”
