CanGEA is announcing its 2013 Geothermal Conference "Digging Deeper" to take place March 20-22, 2013 in Calgary, Canada. The event will also feature two separate workshops.

The Canadian Geothermal Energy Association (CanGEA) has announced details of its 2013 Conference under the title  “DIGGING DEEP”

Attend the 2013 CanGEA conference to learn more about recent project developments, Canadian and global database and mapping initiatives, and current research in the high temperature geothermal energy sector.

The conference will host workshops, presentations, panel discussions and a welcome night reception. Our speaker list includes some of the very best in the geothermal industry.

Venue: Alberta Innovates Technology Futures
CanGEA would like to say a big thank-you to our hosts at AITF for their assistance and giving our conference a home. The AITF facility has free parking and close access to Calgary’s light-rail transit program (Brentwood Station).

AITF is part of Alberta’s research and innovation system and is helping build healthy, sustainable businesses in the province. As part of the conference, CanGEA is offering two workshops.

Mapping & Database Workshop

The CanGEA Mapping & Database Workshop will offer a robust look at the recently produced Alberta Favourability Map and other global geothermal databases. Expert-led presentations on the CO2 North American Storage Atlas, NGDS – US National Geothermal Database System and the IGA Global Protocol and Reporting Code will help guide viewers on the technical challenges and the advantages to developing globally recognized maps for the geothermal Industry.

Workshop: Industry Day

Canadian Geothermal Energy Development in Canada & Abroad!

The CanGEA Industry Day will help bring you up to speed on the development of geothermal energy in Canada and by Canadians internationally. Learn about recent research and development, new geothermal projects in Canada and internationally, and hear about the provincial and federal government programs that have helped nurture the industry in the last few years.
