Chilean Energia Andina, a JV between Chile's oil company Enap and mining company Antofagasta Minerals is planning to start a drilling campaign at its project Tinguiririca in Region VI in south-central Chile.

Reported from Chile, the joint venture Energia Andina JV formed by Chile’s state oil company Enap and mining company Antofagasta Minerals is planning to start a drilling campaign within this year.

Energia Andina S.A. has 6 exploration projects and has won 5 concessions in the last bidding process, in which the company was bidding for 10 of 20 offered concessions. The company estimates a potential of about 580MW from its projects.

The projects started the earliest are Tinguiririca in South-Central Chile, Pampa Lirima 1-4, and Polloquere in Northern Chile.

The project now being the first to see drilling is the project started first, Tinguiricia. The project is located in the high mountains of the VI Region of Chile. The company currently is taking the project through the exploration phase and hopes to start drilling this year.
