Next week the inaugural Deep Geothermal Days will take place as part of the Geothermal days in Paris, France, April 10-11, 2014.

The inaugural Deep Geothermal Days will take place next week in Paris, France. As part of the larger French geothermal event, Journées de la Géothermie (Geothermal days), delegates will have the opportunity to network with fellow international players from the deep geothermal field (industry, research, politics)

A very rich program will see keynote speakers share the stage with authors of the best papers received from all over the world.

The program and registration details are available at:www.d-geo-d.com

As of March 28, delegates and key opinion leaders from 20 countries have already registered to take part in the very first Deep Geothermal Days.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • The results of the well GRT-1 of the ECOGI project: The logging and testing program, as well as the reservoir development strategy and monitoring system will be discussed during the “case studies”.
  • For the first time in France, a feedback on the gas kick that occurred in the deep geothermal well in St. Gallen and a feedback on the horizontal well of Schlattingen (Switzerland)
  • A state of the art of the deep geothermal energy in Great Britain and in the Netherlands
  • A feedback on the operational geothermal power plants of Insheim and Bruchsal (Germany)
  • The perspectives of the Bouillante geothermal power plant (Guadeloupe Island)

Delegates to the Deep Geothermal Days will also have access to the exhibition gathering around 50 stands and to the Journées de la Géothermie sessions (in French only).
