The country of Dominica in the Caribbean passes new legislation that defines a regulatory framework surrounding "the development, exploration and use of geothermal resources."

The government of Dominica in the Caribbean has passed its new geothermal piece of legislation. Called the “Geothermal Resources Development Act”, defines a regulatory framework surrounding “the development, exploration and use of geothermal resources.”

The key content elements are:

  4. Geothermal resource allocation
  5. Procedure for obtaining a geothermal resource development agreement
