Drilling is under way for a third well for a geothermal heating project in Villiers-le-Bel in the North of Paris in France.

A third well for a geothermal heating project in Villiers-le-Bel north of Paris, France is being drilled. The 40-day project is in full swing. Indeed, for thirty-three years, the city has been operating with Gonesse a geothermal site that will heat the houses in the neighborhood of the Carreaux, Derrière-Les-Murs and Puits-la-Marlière in Villiers and the Fauconnière in Gonesse.

The new well, drilled by a drilling rig that can drill down to 2,000 meters, will increase the use of geothermal energy and increase the current start.

Cost of the operation: EUR 10 million, totally taken care of by the energy company Coriance. A secure platform has been specially set up to welcome students from both municipalities and allow them to discover this very impressive site.
