GEA announces the GEA Geothermal Energy Project and Technology Showcase Wednesday, May 6, 2009, noon-5:00pm Newseum, Washington, DC

GEA announced the GEA Geothermal Energy Project & Technology Showcase event in Washington, DC on May 6, 2009. The event is by invitation only, more details on the event’s website.

“The Geothermal Project Showcase will take place in the Conference Center at The Newseum in Washington, DC. “The Newseum — a 250,000-square-foot museum of news — offers visitors an experience that blends five centuries of news history with up-to-the-second technology and hands-on exhibits.” We couldn’t think of a better or more exciting venue to announce news of the many geothermal power projects in the ground in the United States!

GEA will be inviting the DC energy policy and technology community to see geothermal energy projects under development in the West.  Leading geothermal companies in the U.S. will show their new geothermal projects either near completion or just coming online.  Companies will share footage (video or stills) and talk about their projects. This is a great opportunity for companies to take the audience directly to their site through multimedia footage. A panel discussion with moderator is also expected to be part of this half-day event.”

The program is varied and includes key players of the industry. For full program see event website of GEA.
