The National Geothermal Summit will bring together policy leaders, utilities and industry professionals to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the geothermal industry.

GEA will be holding its fourth annual National Geothermal Summit on Tuesday, August 5th and Wednesday, August 6th in Reno, NV. The National Geothermal Summit will bring together policy leaders, utilities and industry professionals to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the geothermal industry. The Summit is being co-hosted by Ormat and with the support of the City of Reno; Imperial Irrigation District; Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada; Nevada Geothermal Council; and the Geothermal Resources Council.

Topics to be covered include adopting new US codes and standards for geothermal energy; federal leasing and permitting: performance and improvement; state PUC and utility officials presenting on their outlook for geothermal procurement; achieving the potential of the Salton Sea; moving geothermal forward in Nevada; public and private utilities and geothermal power; political and tax experts discussing the outlook for federal and state tax incentives for geothermal; sage grouse, and more.

The National Geothermal Summit is attended by the geothermal industry at large which makes it a great opportunity for attendees and exhibitors.On both Tuesday and Wednesday, the exhibit area is the go to place for a hosted lunch, keynote address, plenary sessions, and designated time to walk the exhibits in the Expo area.
