The GEA will hold a workshop prior to the GEA Summit focusing on the geothermal reporting methodologies particular to the US. Registration is now open.

The workshop will be held on Monday afternoon prior to the Summit. We are seeking individuals in the geothermal community who are interested in participating in a discussion regarding the terminology and approaches used to characterize geothermal resources in the U.S. GEA and DOE will be presenting some of the work they have been doing related to geothermal reporting methodologies. The goal of this workshop is to introduce participants to the results of these initial analyses, to solicit feedback from on the terminology, concepts, applications for geothermal reporting, and to collect input to guide the next steps for these efforts.

Agenda:
Welcome and background on GEA efforts in code and standards discussions
UNFC effort explained in relation to geothermal: How does this affect us down the road?
Discussion and workshop of potential GTO reporting metrics

Important Notes:
You must be registered to attend the National Geothermal Summit to attend this pre-Summit workshop.
Attendance is included in the price of registration for the Summit.
We will not be hosting a webinar since a majority of the workshop will be small group discussions about targeted topics, and is not conducive to broadcasting. If you are not able to attend in person and would like more information, please feel free to contact us . All comments and input are welcome.
