The Mexican International Renewable Energy Congress to take place May 28-30, 2014 in Mexico, will also feature GeoPower Mexico, a geothermal energy focused side event that will bring the industry together to discuss opportunities in the Mexican market.

The Mexican International Renewable Energy Congress (MIREC) will take place for the third time, May 28-30, 2014 in Camino, Real Polanco, Mexico.

The event will also feature GeoPower Mexico, as a separate event focused on the geothermal activities and development in Mexico.

With the energy and fiscal reforms passed, the industry will come together to discuss the next steps for solar, wind, geothermal and all renewable energy sources in Mexico and Central America.

Following a highly successful MIREC 2013, the event returns with an exclusive focus on the regulatory, fiscal and technological news in the sector. Last year the event had around 600 attendees.

GeoPower Mexico will allow industry leaders and political representatives, together with financiers and technology innovators to get together and discuss the future of the geothermal industry in Mexico. With keynote presentations from successful case-studies and developers at a national and international scale, GeoPower Mexico will highlight the industry’s importance in reaching renewable energy goals and driving cleaner energy generation in Mexico.

Together with Solar and Wind Mexico, GeoPower Mexico will also feature numerous networking opportunities and an exhibition floor showing off the latest technological innovations in the sector. Additionally, key government figures from the CRE, SENER and CFE, as well as leading executives shaping the sector, will be participating at MIREC2014’s plenary sessions, to which GeoPower delegates will have access to.
