The agreement entails a cooperation in creating a framework of standardized model licenses for exploring, realizing, and developing geothermal energy resources.

In conjunction with a state visit of France’s minister for Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy Segolene Royal, the French Geothermal Cluster GEODEEP and Iceland Geothermal, the cluster of Iceland’s geothermal industry, signed a cooperation agreement.

The agreement was signed by The Chairman of Iceland Geothermal Mr. Albert Albertsson – and Mr. Sylvain Broglie, Vice President of Marketing with GEODEEP, signed today July 29th 2015 this agreement in the Blue Lagoon.

The agreement entails a cooperation in creating a framework of standardized model licenses for exploring, realizing, and developing geothermal energy resources.

The signing was witnessed by Mme Royal and Iceland’s Minister for Industry and Trade Ragnheidur Elin Arnadottir.

France will be hosting the the United Nations 21st Conference on the Framework for Climate Change later this fall.
