The geothermal project of Lavey-Les-Bains in Switzerland has received no objections from the public following a public inquiry on the project launched earlier this year. Construction is expected to start at the end of 2019.

With often critical voices against geothermal development in Europe, it is positive to hear that the deep geothermal project at Lavey-Les-Bains in Switzerland is now progressing without any opposition, as reported last week by CSD Engineers.

Announced in January, as we reported, the project has received no objections in the public engagement process. Prior, the project had received a positive assessment from the Swiss Federal Office of the Environment and all departments of the canton of Vaud.

The start of construction for the project is scheduled for the end of 2019 with CSD Engineers leading the project for AGEPP SA, the project development consortium.
