After a stop due to changes to the board of PT Pertima, Seulawah Agam geothermal power plant in Aceh is back on track again.

Muhammad YY Dinar, the Director of Industry and Trade of the Aceh Regional Development Company (PDPA), has said that a development plan for the survey and exploration of the Seulawah Agam geothermal power plant project in Aceh Besar has been prepared.

PDPA and PT GES, a geothermal subsidiary of Pertamina, have established a joint venture for the exploration of the region. Activities were temporarily halted due to changes of the board members at PT Pertamina. Head of the Aceh Mining and Energy Agency, Akmal confirmed that the Seulawah Agam geothermal project has been submitted to the government of Aceh to PDPA in cooperation with PT Pertamina as the winner of the tender and hope to continue work soon.
