In an attempt to put a picture on the value chain for geothermal turbines, NREL has published its results in a rather interesting map set up.

In a rather interesting blog article, the Clean Energy Manufacturing Analysis Center provides a “first look at the manufacturing value chain” for geothermal power plant turbines.

It describes that in the past 10 years (2005 to 2015), 118 binary cycle, 58 flash cycle and 14 dry steam geothermal power plants were installed around the world.

Clearly an interesting study and looking not only at the technology itself, but the role of some of the countries in the value chain.

Definitely interesting piece and research effort. To try to put the flows of turbine exports and imports into a map is also a rather nice approach. Have a look via the link below.
