The total amount of the loan program is 223 million euros and implementation will be done on a country-by-country basis.

Good news fro the geothermal industry in Central America, where a $120 million loan program will be available for geothermal projects in the region.

This was announced earlier this week when “Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega met with Klaus Krämer, head of the Division of Regional Development Policy for Central America and the Caribbean of the German Economic Cooperation and Development Ministry, to discuss the project” according to Latino Fox News.

According to the same source, Germany has a “a framework treaty with the Central American Integration System, or SICA, (…) and the total amount of financing at 223 million euros”. The loan program will be deployed on a country-by-country basis and it funds have already started to flow for other development projects.
