The objective of the GGDP Roundtable 2 is to provide a platform for donors, multilateral financing institutions, government officials, and practitioners to exchange experiences and lessons on geothermal resource risk mitigation schemes.

The Climate Investment Funds (CIFs) is partnering with the Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP) and the Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) to organize the 2nd Global Geothermal Development Program (GGDP) Roundtable in Copenhagen, Denmark on October 23-24, 2014. (Agenda)

The objective of the GGDP Roundtable 2 is to provide a platform for donors, multilateral financing institutions, government officials, and practitioners to exchange experiences and lessons on geothermal resource risk mitigation schemes.

The second day of the roundtable will be dedicated to the Geothermal Development Dialogue, the first in a series of targeted workshops hosted by the CIF and CPI that will take place over the next year, aimed at bringing together major actors in financing geothermal development to enable a global sharing of experiences and to explore emerging lessons in the quest to scale up effective geothermal finance.

The CIF is supporting the participation of officials from the nine CTF and SREP countries with CIF-financed geothermal investments.

This event is part of the week-long ESMAP Knowledge Exchange Forum hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
