The International Geothermal Association (IGA) is inviting Expressions of Interest from member organisations to host the World Geothermal Congress (WGC) 2023. The next WGC will take place 27 April to 1 May 2020 in Reykjavik, Iceland.

The International Geothermal Association (IGA) seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI) from member organisations who would like to  host the World Geothermal Congress (WGC) in the year 2023.

The World Geothermal Congress is the largest international geothermal energy event, organised by the International Geothermal Association (IGA) in cooperation with hosting organisations. Previously held every 5 years, the frequency was changed to three years with 2023 event to be held being the first one under the new set up.

The next World Geothermal Congress will take place 27 April to 1 May 2020 in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Before that the event was held in Melbourne/ Australia (2015), Bali/ Indonesia (2010), Antalya/ Turkey (2005), Kyushu-Tohoku/ Japan (2000), and Florence/ Italy (1995).
