In conjunction with IIGCE 2015, INAGA & GRC will conduct a special workshop that will discuss “A Geothermal Conceptual Model & Well Targeting and the second topic will discuss A Geothermal Medium Enthalpy Management”.

The workshop will start on August 17 2015, at 01:00 pm which will focus on Medium Enthalpy Management. The 1/2 day workshop will discuss the experiences from around the globe on the application of medium enthalpy development with a few case studies. It is expected that the participants will learn on how to apply the medium enthalpy resources from their field into a project development and execution.

The instructors for the Medium Enthalpy Managements are:

The next day, 18 August 2015, will be a full day workshop that will focus on Geothermal Conceptual Model & Well Targeting. The workshop will discuss how to interpret data from geology, geophysics and geochemistry to develop and refine a conceptual model and how those data lead to a rational plan for targeting an exploration well. Discussion will focus on the importance of various geologic data, interpreting existing geochemistry and geophysics, the importance of heat flow data and the necessity of refining and updating conceptual models based once production wells have been drilled and completed. It is expected from the workshop, the participants will be able to apply modeling concepts to their own field.
