The Global Geothermal Challenge

Please join us on Wednesday July 29th at 4 pm at the offices of 3D GEO at 114 Flinders Street (Level 5) in Melbourne’s CBD for a presentation on the Global Geothermal Challenge.

Prize creator and Executive Director of the Foundation for Geothermal Innovation will present an overview of the Challenge, a short Q & A will follow.

Endorsed by industry leaders like GRC, GEA and Google.org, it is also supported by the Australian contingency of the International Global Partnership for Technology, this project seeks to accelerate innovation and attention to “the forgotten renewable”. High temperature hydrothermal resources, and the commercialization of EGS is dependent on a robust down hole pump. In creating a global competition, innovation and lateral technology transfer will be focused on this discrete problem facing geothermal. Accomplishments to date include; technical analysis and validation as well as a market analysis. These findings have been published in a report following The Lemelson Meeting held in conjunction with the Stanford Geothermal Conference.

This talk is informal and largely non-technical. It is open to all.

Located near Flinders Station in Melbourne’s CBD, a map link to 3D Geo is here.
RSVPs are appreciated so we can get a good beer number. Please direct them to lorenzo@3d-geo.com
