Waikato Regional Council is looking for a summer student with geochemistry, database and ARGGIS expertise who can identify, acquire and enter in database geothermal geochemistry analysis data from published and other sources such as theses.

The Waikato Regional Council is looking for a summer student with geochemistry, database and ARGGIS expertise who can identify, acquire and enter in database geothermal geochemistry analysis data from published and other sources such as theses. Using ARCGIS, enter geothermal spring location and data into database. Assist library staff with the determining of copyright status, quality-controlled scanning and archiving of geothermal research papers.

Requirements

  • Must have a working knowledge of ARCGIS, Excel, ENDnote, and MSWord
  • Must have some practical experience of NZ geothermal features
  • Must be able to work alone or in a team

We want someone who has a well-developed interest in geothermal features, a love of data and data management, and an ability to make order out of chaos. 

This role is being offered as an approximately 3 month fixed-term full-time opportunity.
