Japanese Toshiba and Marubeni win US$ 77 million contract to build a 55 MW geothermal power plant in Bandung, Indonesia for Indonesia PT Geo Dipa Energi.

Reported early this morning from Indonesia, Japanese Marubeni Corp and Toshiba Corp have won an order to build a 55 MW geothermal power plant for Indonesian PT Geo Dipa Energi.

It is expected that the plant will start operating in 2014. It will be built at Bandung in the southeast of the country’s capital Jakarta.

With this deal, Toshiba has won three geothermal orders this year in New Zealand, Kenya and now in Indonesia. The order is worth about US$77 million.
