New Young Geothermal Scientist Award – Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern

Enerchange the organiser of the annual geothermal conference Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern, has announced a new award for Young Geothermal Scientists in conjunction with this year's event in Munich, October 16-18, 2018.

For the first time, the Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern – the key event for the geothermal energy industry in Bavaria/ Germany – will award a prize for young scientists from the field of “deep geothermal energy”. Applications are still possible until mid-September.

ENERCHANGE, the organizer of the annual Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern, wants to reward young scientists for outstanding scientific achievements in the field of applied deep geothermal energy in Bavaria with the “Praxisforum-Geothermie-Nachwuchspreis”.

The prize will be awarded at this year’s event. Applicants may apply for Master’s and Ph.D. students who are working on their theses on geothermal-relevant research topics in Bavaria and who already have proven results or who have not completed their work before 2017. The application deadline is 10th September 2018 . The application should include an abstract (approximately 3,000 characters) that briefly introduces the work and the results, as well as a CV.

The Praxisforum-Geothermie-Nachwuchspreis includes free admission to the Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern taking place in Munich on October 16 and 17, 2018, a prize money of EUR 250 and the opportunity to present her/ his own work to well-known representatives and companies in the geothermal industry with a keynote speech showcase. The award will be made after the decision of a jury of scientists and industry representatives.
