The upcoming GeoPower Indonesia & Philippines event taking place next week (June 6-7) in Jakarta, Indonesia promises to be a great event with a wide representations from the leading geothermal companies and suppliers.

The GeoPower Indonesia & Philippines event taking place next week (June 6-7) in Jakarta, Indonesia promises to be a great event. With a large representation from the leading geothermal companies and suppliers, it provides a great cut from all angles of the sector.

Current news are also very promising for the region, with BP agreeing “…to take part in the development of multi-billion-USD geothermal energy projects in Indonesia”. (Live Trading News). The agreement followed talks between President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and BP CEO Bob Dudley, and should provide the catalyst needed to fully realize the geothermal capacity of the region.

Representatives from BP along with other major developers in the region representing the future of geothermal power in Asia will be present.
