Energia Limpia XXI describes the Geothermal Master Plan for Nicaragua identifying ten areas of geothermal interest, located along the Pacific volcanic range.

Website Energia Limpia XXI has recently posted a vry interesting overview of the geothermal potential of Nicaragua and the “Master Plan for Geothermal”

According to the news source, “the Geothermal Master Plan for Nicaragua identifies ten areas of geothermal interest, located along the Pacific volcanic range. The geothermal areas of interest are evaluated as follows: Cosiguina Volcano, Volcano Casita-San Cristóbal Volcano Ñajo Telica-El, San Jacinto-Tizate, El Hoyo-Monte Galan, Momotombo Volcano, Managua-Chiltepe Tipitapa, Masaya-Granada-Nandaime and the Island of Ometepe.”

The article then goes to describe the different geothermal fields, active and potential in Nicaragua.
