Nominate now for the European Geothermal Innovation Award by the European Geothermal Energy Council. Nominations are open until December 31, 2013. Winners will be announced at the GeoTHERM expo & congress taking place February 21-22, 2014 in Offenburg, Germany.

The European Geothermal Innovation Award is given to companies which have made an outstanding contribution towards the field of geothermal energy in the form of innovative products, scientific research or project initiatives.

The winner will be announced at GeoTHERM expo & congress in Offenburg, Germany, February 21-22, 2013.

The European Geothermal Innovation Award will be the seal of excellence applied to the most intelligent and important ideas in research and industry, which will play a key role in the future development of geothermal energy.Endorsed nominations and the award winner will be recognised for their outstanding work and impact on a growing and dynamic industry. The award will be an opportunity for industry peers to acknowledge excellence, and for the most exciting ideas to be widely publicised.

A jury of five will assess submissions on grounds of originality, innovation, reliability, reduction of emissions and improvements in energy output.

Following the presentation of the award at GeoTHERM, the winner will receive

  • a half profile in the EGEC newsletter
  • a profile on the EGEC website
  • Press coverage
  • The opportunity to present the idea at an EGEC event
  • The right to use the award logo on their publications.

The 2014 Jury:

  • Dr. Adele Manzella, Italy
  • Prof. Ladislaus Rybach, Switzerland
  • Victor van Heekeren, The Netherlands
  • Dr. Burkhard Sanner, EGEC
  • A representative of Messe Offenburg

Nominations are open until December 31, 2013.

Self-nomination is possible, and unsuccessful applications will be eligible for nomination at future awards.
