WING and Seequent have announced Rocelle Mendoza as winner of the WING Seequent Visibility Scholarship for this year's New Zealand Geothermal Workshop.

In an announcement via Facebook, the Women in Geothermal group reports having received an overwhelming number of applications from around the globe for the WING-Seequent Visibility Scholarship for 2018.

WING thanks all the amazing WINGs that applied. In the statement by Andy Blair, she says that “It was a bloody tough decision as the abstracts were exceptional and the reasons you gave as to why visbility is important for women.. well.. let’s just say its given me heaps of motivation to keep on charging!!! We’ll be in touch with you all shortly.

Now for the winner…. a big massive congratulations to Rocelle Mendoza from EDC in the Philippines!! Rocelle will travel to the New Zealand Geothermal Workshop in Taupo this November and present her paper titled ‘Beyond boundaries: Exploring interpretations from correlation of resistivity with various reservoir data in the Mt. Apo geothermal alrea.’
