PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy has inaugurated a new geothermal information center at its geothermal operations in Ulubelu, Indonesia.

As part of its community engagement PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE) has been developing geothermal education and information facilities in several areas of its operations, including the Ulubelu Area.

Last week, PGE President Director Ali Mundakir accompanied by Ulubelu Dirgo Rahayu General Manager (GM) Area inaugurated the Ulubelu Geothermal Information (UGI), which is a geothermal / geothermal education information center for various groups in the region.

According to Dirgo, UGI, which is located in PGE Ulubelu Area, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung Province displays a variety of information. Among other things, geothermal business processes, survey devices, personal protective equipment and a mini-theater playing animated videos about geothermal energy.

“Considering that the UGI location is in the Ulubelu Area, those who are interested in visiting UGI can first coordinate with PGE Ulubelu Public Relations first,” Dirgo said.

Meanwhile, PGE President Director Ali Mundakir hopes that this information center can provide maximum benefits in educating the public about geothermal management at Ulubelu.

In addition to Ulubelu, PGE also developed similar information centers in the Lahendong Area with the Geothermal Education Center (GEC). Whereas the Kamojang Area has already been the pioneer of the Indonesian geothermal information center called Geothermal Information Center (GIC).
