Australian geothermal developer Petratherm is expanding its business focus into oil and gas exploration through wholly-owned subsidiary PetraGas with a petroleum license in Tasmania, Australia.

Australian geothermal developer Petratherm, has announced that it will extend its focus from international geothermal projects and extend into oil and gas.

Having been awarded a petroleum exploration license in Tasmania, through its wholly-owned subsidiary PetraGas, it now plans utilizing its expertise in geothermal to help with conventional and unconventional oil and gas drilling.

The exploration program now planned by the company will go on for two year and include a review of existing data and surveys. A government approval  still needs to be acquired.
