For the 7th edition, the Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern will bring together the geothermal sector of Germany with international participants, 7-9 October 2019 in Munich/ Germany.

For the seventh time the German and international geothermal sectors will meet in Munich/ Germany for the Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern, 7-9 October 2019 in Munich.

Without a real “Wärmewende”- change in the heating systems –  it will not be possible to achieve the climate protection goals. Deep geothermal energy can and must play major role for it. This and other current technical developments will be the topics the Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern 2019 in Munich. The sectoral meeting of the geothermal scene will bring the experts of practice and science together.

“In 2019 the main program topics of the Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern are the geothermal Wärmwende and its political and practical implications” says Mr. Jochen Schneider, CEO of the organising agency Enerchange. “We are very pleased to offer, once again, our visitors a varied program.

The patronage for this year’s Praxisforum will be Mr. Hubert Aiwanger, the Minister of State of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy.

Science and politics are stating the important role of geothermal energy.

On October 8, the main congress day, experts with different perspectives will deal with the future of deep geothermal energy supply. Legal frameworks, economic and technical requirements, models of CO2 pricing and the vision of a geothermal “Wärmewende” until 2050 are on the agenda of the event. “The future of the heating market lies in the regionally available energy sources. This is of course not only the using of waste heat and waste heat of recycling process but also deep geothermal energy,” says Benjamin Richter from the Gold Sponsor of Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern Rödl & Partner. He will present at the congress the concept paper “The Heat Target – Successfully shaping the heat cycle in Germany”.

Latest technical developments and practical examples will be the topic of discussion at the Scientific Forum of the Geothermie-Allianz Bayern on the afternoon of the congress day. Parallely a forum for geothermal development in the Eastern Molasse Basin takes place. Other forums deal with measurements to control seismicity and the economics of geothermal projects.

A highlight on the congress day will be once again the presentation of the Geothermal Energy Prize Bavaria, which is honouring the best Bavarian geothermal plants in the category of electricity and heat. In addition, the Christian Hecht Prize will be awarded to young academics. Applications are still possible until 19 August 2019.

Workshops und GeoTHOUR

On the 7th of October, the workshop day, the visitors will find first-rate contributions to the current state of scientific know-how in production pump technology. In another workshop, the cooperation partner EGEC presents the EU project Georisk

As usual, the Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern ends with an excursion to geothermal plants in the Bavarian Molasse Basin, the GeoTHOUR. The Praxisforum is also a proven event Form networking and establishing new business contacts.
