This year's Praxisforum.Geothermie Bayern - the well established annual geothermal event in Munich, in the heart of the growing geothermal market in Middle Europe reports record registration numbers with more than 160 delegates registered two weeks before the event.

The annual Praxisforum.Geothermie Bayern geothermal congress in Munich, Germany reports strong registration numbers with more than 160 delegates already registered. The Praxisforum has established itself as the key event for geothermal energy utilisation in the middle of Europe.

Held September 11-12, 2017, the Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern in Munich offers a broad variety of topics including geothermal energy generation and direct use but also technical issues and an investors forum. The accompanying exhibition is nearly completely sold.

Middle Europe is the leading market for low enthalpy geothermal energy utilization. Driven by interest in renewable energies, stable political conditions, feed-in tariffs and risk mitigation schemes, geothermal energy utilization expands quickly, especially in Bavaria. In addition to many direct use applications, six power plants are in operation and further four plants are under construction at the moment in southern Bavaria. Many more are planned, among others the project of ENEL in Weilheim, where the first well is close to reach the targeted depth.

These conditions attract new foreign investors like Eirikur Bargasson from KS Orka or Oliver Friedlaender from RAG Energy Drilling. Both are going to introduce their perspective on investment into geothermal projects at the Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern in the Round Table “Invest Geothermal”. Together with insurance broker NW Assekuranz, Mr. Friedlaender will present the new risk mitigation scheme based on the production index. Further speakers in this Forum introduce the financing of the side track in Geretsried, a well that was dry after the first attempt drilling the longest well with 6 km in the Molasse Basin. The new target seems to be promising and should be reached in the next weeks.

Learn more about the programme of the Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern with its six discussion forums about various topics related to geothermal energy generation and two field trips in the region, one guided by Turboden to the power plant in Traunreut, at the website of the event and register now to become part of the most prosperous geothermal market in Middle Europe.
