DEEP's geothermal power project in Saskatchewan/ Canada might be supply heat to planned greenhouse operations nearby.

The geothermal power project being developed by DEEP Earth Energy Production near Estevan in Saskatchewan/ Canada might actually be extending its business model.

It is now reported locally that it plans selling excess heat to a 45-acre greenhouse for commercial use.

From the pictures of the drilling rig, it does not look likely that it might be used for residential heating, which would also be an option. But adding industrial operations that utilise heat are a great opportunity for geothermal power plants to expand revenues and make projects more profitable for the developer.

At the same time it extends the economic value for the local communities nearby the plants.
