Star Energy allocates up to $200 million for a 60 MW extension with unit 3 at the Wayang Windu geothermal power complex in West Java, Indonesia with possible project start of early 2013..

Reported by Indonesia Finance Today, “StarEnergy Geothermal (Wayang Windu) Ltd. allocates funding of $150-200 million towards the construction of unit 3 at the Wayang Windu geothermal power plant.

The company expects to add 60 MW in Pangalengan, Bandung regency in West Java.

A spokesperson for the company stated that the phase II project is targeted to operate in 2015. Currently the company is awaiting an exploration license from the Government of West Java Province. If received at the end of this year, construction could start early next year.
