Indonesia's PT Star Energy will invest up to US$300 million, building the third unit of the Wayang Windu geothermal power plant in West Java.

Reported already earlier in December, “Indonesia’s PT Star Energy said it will invest up to US$300 million in geothermal power project next year.

Star Energy will build the third unit of the Wayang Windu geothermal power plant in the regency of Bandung, West Java.

Company Vice President Sanusi Satar said the project is expected to be operational in 2012, adding another unit will follow to be completed in 2014.

Sanusi said the third and fourth units will be part of the second crash program of state electricity company PLN to build 10,000 megawatts of power plants to start next year.”
