Global EPC firm Technip and Icelandic engineering group Mannvit announce a "partnership to drive major geothermal development in the United States.

In a press release, global project management, engineering and construction firm Technip and Icelandic engineering group Mannvit (formerly VGK Hönnun) announce a “partnership to drive major geothermal development in the United States, offering a comprehensive portfolio of innovative solutions and
technologies.”

These are great news as it is so essential to combine many of the individual elements of geothermal project developments in one hand and this combines the expertise of two excellent firms to help drive geothermal development in the United States.

“This partnership, which is effective immediately, will use the resources of Technip’s operating center in Claremont, California. Depending of the future projects, other Group centers could be involved. The objective of the agreement is to offer geothermal project developers and their financers with a single point source of responsibility for consulting, studies, financial engineering, project management, risk management, exploration and production drilling engineering services, as well as engineering, design, procurement, construction management and power plant start-up services.

The agreement is testimony to Technip and Mannvit’s commitment to the exploitation of renewable energy sources to fully meet the challenges of sustainable development.”
