Turkey wants to expand renewable energy and has set a goal of 1,000 MW of geothermal power generation capacity by 2023.

We have seen that more and more geothermal plants are going online in Turkey lately, but what is the country’s strategy for renewables?
As part of a new clean energy strategy, Turkey is providing new targets for different renewable energy technologies, among them geothermal. The country has set a goal of 1,000 MW of geothermal power generation capacity by 2023. With currently around 410 MW installed and an additional 370 MW, Turkey is well positioned to reach that goal in the set time frame.
