The Geothermal Resource Council (GRC) through Policy Committee Chair Paul Thomsen and Executive Director Will Pettitt has published a letter in support of the proposed “Advanced Geothermal Innovation Leadership Act of 2019” or “AGILE Act.”

The AGILE Act is expected to accelerate geothermal energy research and development through the provision of research facilities, additional markets and opportunities, and a grant program, among others.

As the professional association for the geothermal industry in the US, the GRC has strongly urged the Senate to take up the bill as soon as possible to bring about both the economic and environmental benefits of geothermal energy as soon as possible.
