The 2nd UK Deep Geothermal Symposium will be held next Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Geological Society in London, UK and discuss on how awareness can be raised for the UK geothermal energy potential for heat and electricity.

The second annual UK Deep Geothermal Symposium will be held next Monday (October 15) in London. The event will look into the role of Deep geothermal and is aimed at raising awareness of the potential in the UK for “this huge clean energy resource and its use as a renewable source of heat and electricity.”

Rt Hon Gregory Barker, MP, Minister for Climate Change, will speak at the event with Sir Tim Smit of the Eden Project following him, as well as a number of experts and visionaries in the sector. Drinks and Canapés are offered after the event at 7:00 pm.

The event is held at The Geological Society, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London W1J 0BG

Date: Monday 15 October 2012 from 2.15pm – 7.00pm

The event is supported by Scientific Drilling, ITECO and BP.
