Geothermal industry showing strong interest in WGC 2020 Exhibition & Sponsorship

The World Geothermal Congress 2020 is not less than 5 months away, preparations are well under way and several groups are engaging on country/ regional booths, side events and so much more.

The highly anticipated WGC 2020 will kick off with the opening ceremony set for 27 April 2020 at the Harpa Concert and Conference Centre in downtown Reykjavik. The striking glass and concrete building sitting gracefully at the waterfront of Reykjavik’s old harbour area will not only play host to a comprehensive program of sessions on all things geothermal but also what promises to be an extensive industry exhibition with Pavilions from the Icelandic geothermal industry, New Zealand, the US and the European Commission as well as a host of companies and organisations from the world over.

“Iceland is one of the leaders in the field of geothermal energy, not only in terms of power production, but also in terms of direct use, exploration, research & innovation and education and last but not because most forms of geothermal utilisation can be discovered within a 100 km radius of the WGC venue. It is without a doubt a unique opportunity for the geothermal industry to present their technology and services in Reykjavik in 2020.”, Bjarni Pálsson, Chair of the WGC 2020 Organising Company.
