The updated 2023 version of the Global Heat Flow Database has been published by the International Heat Flow Commission.

The International Heat Flow Commission (IHFC) has published the 2023 version of the Global Heat Flow Database. This is a collaborative effort between academia and industry that compiles authenticated heat flow data to provide a better understanding of the Earth’s thermal field.

The 2023 release of the Global Heat Flow Database (https://doi.org/10.5880/fidgeo.2023.008) contains about 73,033 data points from 1,414 publications.

The IHFC hosts a web-based viewer of heat flow data. Visualization of the heat flow data is also available in KMZ and SHP file formats.
