35 MW Platanaras Geothermal Plant in Honduras to Start Operation Late 2017

Isaac Angel, CEO of Ormat Technologies, discusses Q1 2017 earnings and plans for Platanares geothermal project in Honduras.

Ormat Technologies is continuing with the construction of the 35 megawatt Platanares geothermal project in Honduras. This project is expected to reach commercial operation by the end of 2017 and will sell its power in collaboration with the national utility of Honduras. The project is expected to generate annual revenues of approximately $33 million under the 15-years DoD agreement.
