6th Polish National Geothermal Congress, Zakopane – Oct. 23-25, 2018
The 6th National Geothermal Congress of Poland will take place in Zakopane, Oct. 23-25, 2018 bringing together the Polish geothermal sector to discuss technical and development issues for geothermal energy utilisation in Poland.
On October 23-25, 2018 , the 6th National Geothermal Congress in Poland will take place in Zakopane .
The organizers of the 6th National Geothermal Congress are:
- Polish Geothermal Association
- Department of Energetic Resources, Faculty of Geology, Geophysics and Environmental Protection, AGH AGH University of Science and Technology Stanis?awa Staszica
- Institute for Mineral Resources and Energy, Polish Academy of Sciences
- Other organizers during the arrangements.
The previous five editions of the Congress took place in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2016. Each time they were under the patronage of the Main Geologist of the Country, as well as the Minister of Economy and Marshals of the Voivodships, in which the Congresses were held, ie Mazowiecki, ?ódzki, Ma?opolski and Dolno?l?skie. This is the most important geothermal event in the country, for those interested in using warm geothermal waters, in particular:
- scientists
- practitioners,
- representatives of government institutions and local self-governments,
- entrepreneurs
- investors
- services,
- PhD students and students.
Nationwide Geothermal Congress is one of the main activities of PSG and the implementation of its statutory objectives, which is reliable public information and decision-making about the resources and possibilities of using geothermal energy in Poland, its popularization and promotion, combining environments and joint activities. It is always the activity of “pro publico bono” and in the pro-state perspective.

The Congress takes place in the year of the 100th anniversary of regaining independence by Poland. We will get to know a few places connected with this Jubilee, exceptional not only for Zakopane, but also for the whole country – where the Republic of Zakopane was born and where they created patriots and artists of this measure, including Stefan ?eromski, Karol Szymanowski, Artur Rubinstein, Stanis?aw Witkiewicz, Rafa? Malczewski.
- Meetings and social conversations, ceremonial banquet and dinner in the regional style – traditionally important and expected elements of the Congress.
