9th Geothermal Congress for Latin America and the Caribbean – November 7 to 9, 2022 – Mexico

Super early bird registration is now open for the 9th Geothermal Congress for Latin America and the Caribbean (GEOLAC) taking place on November 7 to 9, 2022 in Mexico City.

The Geothermal Congress for Latin America and the Caribbean (GEOLAC) is back in-person and coming to Mexico City this November 7-9. Super early bird registration for the event is still available via this link.

Excitement surrounds this year’s event. First, because the regional geothermal market hasn’t gathered in-person for over three years. And second because geothermal has emerged out of the pandemic and into the spotlight: geopolitically, economically, and to achieve climate policy goals, the time is now.

There is excitement for the location, too, as Mexico continues to prioritize geothermal as part of its long-term energy planning.

Elsewhere in the region, geothermal is making a case for itself not just as a source of baseload energy, but also for its support of burgeoning industries such as green hydrogen production and lithium extraction. Geothermal Direct Use is picking up momentum, too, for its wide ranging applications and impacts on climate, social and economic goals.
