Geothermal Downunder – Clean Energy From the Ground Up

This is an urgent reminder that the second annual Australian Geothermal Energy Industry Conference, to be held in Brisbane 10-13 November 2009, features a sold-out industry trade show and a line up of speakers that is a “who’s who” of the industry from around the world.

“We urge all analysts, potential investors, energy professionals, government officers and researchers (especially students), to share with us in learning about the advances in the geothermal industry, and to meet industry participants from around the world. We see geothermal energy as the most viable and reliable, low cost renewable energy source of the future, and this is one of the most exciting conferences in terms of the expertise, the innovation and the ideas that it brings together in the one venue for a few days,” says Susan Jeanes, Chief Executive of the Australian Geothermal Energy Association.

“Innovation is the key to success in any new industry, and Australia has proved its mettle in defining the potential of geothermal energy. With each company presenting their projects to their peers, all will be revealed as to the scientific assessments, the obstacles encountered, and the successes already achieved. There will be plenty of networking opportunities through the trade show and evening events, and we look forward to welcoming delegates from around the world to share in this annual event,” she says.

A product of the collaboration between the Australian Geothermal Energy Association (AGEA) and the Australian Geothermal Energy Group (AGEG), it is the most valuable resource for learning about the industry, the technological developments and the hurdles overcome. It is a showcase of Australian companies, leaders in the field of Engineered Geothermal Systems (EGS), and Hot Sedimentary Aquifer and Direct Use projects, geothermal exploration and geothermal power generation.

Keynote speakers from Europe, the United States and Australia, presentations from Australia’s listed geothermal companies, Federal and State Ministers, will be the highlight of the three-day conference that last year attracted more than 300 delegates.

The full three-day conference registration including gala dinner, $970. Other options are available. Mark the dates, book your tickets and register today. This is a not-to-be missed annual event.
