Call for applications – Steering Committee member of ETIP Deep Geothermal
A call for applications has been issued for candidates to join the Steering Committee of the European Technology & Innovation Platform on Deep Geothermal Energy.
The European Technology & Innovation Platform on Deep Geothermal (ETIP-DG) has issued a “Call for Applications” for members of the Steering Committee of the platform for the 2021-2023 period.
The Steering Committee is the highest decision-making body of the ETIP-DG. Its primary aim is to provide guidance concerning the activities of the Platform, ensuring that the ETIP-DG’s other bodies and working groups effectively pursue the ultimate mission of the ETIP-DG.
The duration of mandate is until end of term of the Steering Committee 2021-2023.
Description and role of the Steering Committee
The Steering Committee of the ETIP-DG has the following powers and duties:
I. To set the periodic objectives for the ETIP-DG and monitor its implementation;
II. To ensure consistency among the activities of the ETIP-DG and in particular among its working groups;
III. To define, propose and implement any actions required for the achievement of the mission of the ETIP;
IV. To produce any contribution that may be required of the ETIP-DG Steering Committee;
V. Through the President or the Vice-Presidents, to represent the ETIP-DG before third parties and external stakeholders.

Applications
Members of the Steering Committee are representatives of European companies, research centres or any other legal entities of public or private status, which satisfy all the following conditions:
I. being Members of the ETIP-DG;
II. being Member of one of the Working Groups;
III. being able and willing to provide an effective contribution to the achievement of the objectives of the ETIP-DG.
All members of the ETIP-DG can submit their candidature by sending their application form to the Secretariat of the ETIP-DG at info@etip-dg.eu by 12th November 2020, COB.
Elections
The election of the representative by all ETIP-DG members will take place, by online secret ballot in November 2020. Time limits and procedure will be communicated when the online voting opens. All members of the ETIP-DG can cast their ballot.
Following the election of the new representative, the new President of the ETIP-DG will be elected by Steering Committee members in an election by secret ballot.
