The Women in Geothermal (WING) USA Chapter is currently promoting open volunteer positions in their communications, membership, and mentoring program roles. This is an excellent professional for geothermal professionals to expand their network and form connections in the geothermal industry, while contributing to community-building and advocating for equality and diversity.

New Membership Committee Members
Role Overview
Membership Committee Members help grow and strengthen the WING community by welcoming new members, maintaining documentation, and connecting people to opportunities within WING and the broader geothermal network.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Welcome and onboard new WING members
- Maintain and improve membership documentation
- Connect members to events, committees, and leadership opportunities
- Support initiatives to improve engagement and retention
- Collaborate with a small, dedicated volunteer team Time Commitment
- ~1–2 hours per month
- Flexible and largely asynchronous

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and coordinate the WING communications team

- Develop messaging aligned with WING’s mission and goals
- Maintain a consistent voice and brand
- Support communications for events, awards, and initiatives

Mentoring Program Content & Development Lead
Role Overview
The Mentoring Program Content & Development Lead works closely with the WING Mentoring Chair to design, refine, and evolve the content and structure of the Thermal Trailblazer Mentoring Program for the 2026–2027 cycle. This role focuses on strengthening the mentoring experience through thoughtful program materials, resources, and engagement touchpoints that support mentors and mentees across career stages.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner with the Mentoring Chair to develop and update mentoring program content
- Help design mentor and mentee guides, onboarding materials, and discussion frameworks
- Support definition of program goals, milestones, and success metrics
- Contribute ideas for mentoring activities, themes, and optional learning resources
- Assist with documenting best practices and incorporating participant feedback into future iterations
Time Commitment
- Approximately 2–4 hours per month
- Focused involvement ahead of and during the 2026–2027 mentoring cycle
- Flexible, collaborative schedule
