The University of Neuchatel in Switzerland is currently accepting applications for the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Deep Geothermal Systems. The course will consist of four one-week long modules from Spring 2022 to Fall 2023, separated by a two-month break. The deadline for application will be on 15 July 2022.

The program aims to help develop specialists in the exploration and exploitation of geothermal reservoirs in Switzerland and Europe. By the end of the program, participants should be able to plan, set up, and lead exploration and/or development projects of deep geothermal resources including deep aquifers and enhanced geothermal systems (EGS). Five editions of the course have taken place successfully since 2011 with more than 20 participants for each session.

The course is designed for Earth scientists (geologists, geophysicists, hydrogeologists, geochemists), civil or energy engineers having a M. Sc. or equivalent degree.
