Company to start feasibility study for geothermal projects in Myanmar
Emerging Markets Energy Pte Ltd. from Singapore is planning to conduct a feasibility study for the development of geothermal power plants in Myanmar (formerly Burma) according to local news.
The country of Myanmar (formerly Burma) will see first efforts on the development of geothermal power plants. According to local news, Emerging Markets Energy Pte Ltd from Singapore is now planning to conduct a feasibility study on establishing geothermal power plants in Myanmar.
The company plans a feasibility study to be carried out in Shan state, Tanintharyi, Sagaing, Magway and Mandalay regions. The project will commence under a memorandum of understanding reached with the Myanmar Ministry of Electric Power.
