East Africa conference on Occ. Safety and Health in geothermal, Oct. 14, 2020

GAK and Kipya Africa are hosting an East Africa Conference on Occupational Safety and Health in geothermal on October 14, 2020.

The Geothermal Association of Kenya in collaboration with Kipya Africa Limited will be hosting a series of the East Africa Conference on Occupational Safety and Health (EACOSH) [in the geothermal sector].  Initially, EACOSH was to take place physically in March 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

EACOSH aims to provide a platform for deliberations on policies, best practices and much more in regards to Occupational Safety and Health in the geothermal sector towards a vision of zero accidents. EACOSH 2020 has been realigned into a three part series under the theme “Investing in Safety in the face of COVID-19 for a Sustainable Geothermal Industry” anchored on three main pillars; Policy, Technology and Finance. Part I shall focus on policy discussions and shall be held on the 14th of October 2020. Part II and Part III shall focus on Technology and Finance respectively to be held on separate dates.
